Roundtrip. Each segment operates independently and the return date is flexible. The round trip cannot be done in a single day — each leg takes about 12 hours — and it requires an overnight in Bariloche or Puerto Varas for itinerary continuity.
Operating conditions: luggage allowance is 1 suitcase up to 23 kg, 1 carry-on up to 10 kg and 1 handbag per passenger — worth stating at confirmation. In Patagonia the weather can change quickly during the day: summer temperatures reach 30 °C, winter can drop to −5 °C. Recommended clothing: layers, waterproof jacket, comfortable or trekking footwear, sunscreen and sunglasses. It is an international crossing: valid passports and migration requirements of both countries must be verified before issuing.
Best season: October to April, with December–March as the most stable window. Frequent mistakes: scheduling the crossing the day before an international flight with no margin, attempting a same-day round trip, omitting the luggage limit at confirmation, and not planning the overnight needed for continuity.
